It varies. Some articles just say "This user was named ________ in LEGO Universe." Others go on for a paragraph all about the user's favorite parts of LU.

That's an excellent point. If it's listed under "Trivia", then I think it's entirely appropriate. However, if it's elsewhere in the article, I think it should be removed (or just moved to the trivia section).

If there's an excessive amount of information, it may be necessary to reduce it.
