Demoting Chat Moderators

We have quite a few chat moderators who are inactive or do not use their rights, I am proposing to demote them. If a chat moderator is demoted while they are inactive they must put up a request for chat moderator if they wish to be re-promoted. (This also applies for chat moderators who do not do their job. For a chat moderator to be declared inactive they must, 1. Have not done anything on the wiki for 2 months, 2. Must not have posted a blog post or thread about being inactive, 3. Must not reply to warnings that their rights are in question.

"not doing their job" is defined by not taking care of any sort of situations that happen. There would be no legitimate reason for people to get mad about this because the users in question didn't do anything anyways...

Every CM online has taken care of a situation like you mention at least once so... And go and demote an active CM... You'll see what happens.

It really doesn't matter if they took care of a situation, it depends if they use their rights when they should. If an active mod complains that they were demoted even though they didn't use their rights when they should have, then I don't really understand their logic.

Doesn't giving the user their rights back as soon as they return ruin the point? The only reason I would ever demote an inactive chat moderator would be because they may have changed while they were gone and might not be fit to have moderator rights any more by the time they come back. Other than that, I see absolutely no point in demoting anyone just because they left without posting an inactivity blog.
