<p>Hello there.
It's been brought up before that it would be better if we actually uploaded the LMB avatar images to the wiki, so that in case of the LMB's changing the avatar format or hosting in any way, we won't have thousands of broken links in every article.
I started changing them, but Alemas is a meanie, so he made me stop and make a vote.
</p><p>So, should we actually upload LMB avatars, instead of just linking them?
</p><p>Also, other small vote:
In every article, when listing dates, we have superscript tags so dates appear like January 2<sup>nd</sup>. This is not considered proper, consult here. [[1]]
I should like to remove said tags, so as to be correct.
We could have a bot do this, or I could do it as I add the LMB avatar images.

<p>Say LEGO.com stops hosting these avatars and other images, such as if the LMBs go offline or get updated altogether again. You'll have several thousand broken images on this wiki. That's what this accomplishes is preventing a ridiculous amount of work later caused by apathy now.

<p>FTR I can save an LMB avatar to my iPad, no cropping required. I'm sure this is possible with computers, too.

<p>Why the hell would screenshots be involved? You're already linking to the file itself. The only difference is you save that file instead of linking it and upload it to the wiki. And "if worse comes to worse", we'll want to start on this sooner rather than waiting until it's too late.

Ah! My bad, I was thinking we had to screenshot the whole thing like we did for the old MBs. Since now we're just saving the image..., oh, that's great. </p><p>Support/Yes </p><p>I honestly would like to help out with this, once this passes if it works out that I'm at school (super fast download and upload MB/s, ours takes five frakking years to load the MBs [and a year to load everything else]) I'll gladly do a few hundred of 'em or whatever. </p><p>Also, we need to make a way to tell which ones have been done, so we don't have to load the source code to tell. <p>In relation to the LMB avatars, I want to leave a note. The LMBs are very systematic in their naming conventions for the avatars. Each avatar is named after the number of the head, torso, and legs, meaning that it's possible to upload all of the possible combinations. Although there's so many possible combinations that it's unlikely we'll ever have them all uploaded.

This is incredibly easy to detect, since all the avatars have very consistent names. If you upload a file to this wiki, and you're told that a file with that name already exists, please just choose the already existing file and place it on the article.
