ALL POSTSVote to unblock the word "boobs"
<p>I am here today to liberate the word "boobs" from its unfair shackles. There is not really a legitimate reason it's blocked (And no ale, "gutter mentality" does not count). I mean, I guess you could argue it could be abused. But, you must be aware the words "boobies," "breasts," and "boob" (I guess adding an s to the word makes it unacceptable) are all unblocked and I have never seen them abused. And so I say unto you, we are not middle school boys who think the very word will give us cooties, it's time to unblock.

<p>Actually the majority of the population has deemed it appropriate enough to be used in PG-13 movies, probably even some PG movies, so culturally it is acceptable for the word to be used in a legally 13+ environment. :P

Honestly, having no blocked words would actually be better than what we have now.... so, we just disallow inappropriate usage of any word that way. <p>I'm quite surprised to see 115 posts to this thread tbh :p I'm surprised people don't hear it more often in everyday life :p coz I can assure you, most 13 year olds over in this part of the world know what it means by 13, the age that ppl should be to be part of the wiki :p
</p><p>Also.....please don't be stupid and say boobs are genitalia.....guys have boobs which aren't developed as are the pubertal female breasts. Males just have pre-pubertal breasts ,so there shouldn't be a difference between the two with regards to vulgarity or whatever is being thrown out in this discussion.

<p>A. a racial slur is hardly comparable to an informal term for a body part B. technically someone could make a vote for that if they wanted but there's no way it'd ever pass. not really sure what you're trying to get at here.
