Not to be ignorant, I'm genuinely curious... Why do people want them removed? Like what is the point, what does it accomplish?
Mainly with this, it's just to get rid of the scrolling through a popular, supposedly humourous blog and then getting that 'oh, crap, right - that happened' moment.
I scrolled through that whole blog and didn't get that moment once.
B.
just because you didn't get it doesn't mean no one else will
Then it sounds like that's their problem for choosing to dwell on the past.
what a nice thing to say to victims of a pedophile, lol
I'm talking to everyone, not just the victims. Victim or not, doesn't matter.
Lol.
as if that changes anything lol
I'm honestly disturbed by this
It does. You're trying to make me out to be the bad guy by acting like I was only talking to the victims, when I'm not.
Doesn't matter who you are, dwelling on the past actions of a person, particularly if said actions were negative, is not going to help anyone.
And Von, do yourself a solid and stay out of this for once.
when you're saying it's the victims fault for being bothered by something and basically saying they need to get over it, I don't really have to do anything to make you look like the bad guy.
sorry.
Once again, you act like the fact that they are victims matters. /It doesn't/.
Allow me to reiterate, it does not matter who you are, dwelling on the past actions of a person, particularly if said actions were negative, is not going to help anyone. I never once said "get over it" and I'm not downplaying the severity of Psy's actions or any of the victims, but how does constantly reminding yourself "oh, this happened" help? It doesn't, so why allow yourself to be reminded?
Von, it's not a question. I'm not asking you to stay out.
it kind of does matter, because this mentality of victim blaming no matter how minor it seems seriously affects people.
and when youve been abused by someone like this, its not a case of just not dwelling on it. if it were that easy everyone would have a much better time moving on. saying things like "Then it sounds like that's their problem for choosing to dwell on the past." very much implies that they just need to get over it. it's like telling someone with depression to just be happy. it doesn't work like that, it never has worked like that, and it never will work like that.
