After much discussion, debate, and reviewing numerous policies, we have decided that the previous vote (
link here) does not meet the standards of the community voting policy. However, due to the overwhelming majority of support in that vote, it would just be ignorant and not democratic at all to just ignore what the community wants, so using the same idea that was used
here we are able to continue with this vote if the community agrees, specifying that it bypasses the demotions guidelines.Â

However, before I start the vote I would like to specify that the intentions of the original vote were to clean the CM team of the inactive users as well as the mods who may not be up to par with the community instead of having to go through the longwinded procedure of a demotion thread, and then possibly going to the admins for another long vote. The vote following this one (assuming this one passes) will be voting on
all Chat Moderators, active and inactive alike. If you would like to read through and/or participate in the discussion, the you will find it located
here.

SO, should we bypass the policy and hold a vote to determine which CMs should be kept, and demote those who are voted to be demoted?
