It seems rather odd that this is unblocked considering "lmao" is blocked. If that's a blocked word, then this should be too as it's worse.

i don't really get the 'unblock everything' train; unblocking words so far has connoted the approval of their use, but i'm reasonably sure that few people actually advocate alleviating sanctions for all swearing in chat.
removing the blocking system for words that aren't welcome to be used on chat is just a simple way to keep track of them; people can easily check what words they're not supposed to use, and when they are used, they are flagged as emotes. there point was never to shield anyone's eyes or whatever, at least not since 2013 lol
