Yeah, man. I could have gone completely insane for all you know. You wouldn't want me suddenly deciding that I'm going to log on and use all of this power to destroy everyone's livelihood, now would you? And I really am being completely serious. XD

Though now that I think about it, letting inactive administrators keep their rights is not nearly as much of risk now as it has been in other situations I've observed. With all the voting and stuff that goes on here, an administrator really doesn't have much authority. So I guess there's not really anything to worry about if you guys end up deciding that you'd like to let us retired folks retain our rights. But I really don't mind either way.

Bleh popularity contests. :| (P.s. seriously sooo many votes now that are allowed to pass even though they are against policy... O.o)

Well Slice, there have been a number of them now, three maybe? Four? That have directly violated policy. Once again, this vote does the same. "A community vote cannot be used to directly demote rights from a user, however, a petition to the Admins can be made that a user be demoted"

well yes this technically is a petition, but the admins woild be pretty scummy to turn it down especially with this big a majority for most of them.

Technically, this is a vote. There is nothing scummy about doing a job properly. Big majority nothing. It should be done right. It should have been corrected before the other vote even passed. This is most definitely not an isolated case either and not the only section of policy recently violated.

Keep Spider, demote Drew and Obi.

Actually, BCgirl, a vote was held prior to this in order to allow it to bypass policy. The policy was kept in mind this time, and everything was kept strictly legitimate.
