The archive presents information on the user from before the 2012 update.

I know what the archives are for, i just dont see why the archives are being kept when the main articles are being deleted. if the archives are that notable to be kept, then the main article should be kept, thats what I was trying to say

But when the main article says nothing that the archive doesn't already say, what's the point in having both?

wouldnt it still provide info on "ranks" and "likes" even if the person hasnt logged in? i doubt that many people would fall under that catgory but with so many articles on this place its not a strange thing to see one or two people that have an exceptional amount of likes despite being essentialy dead
and also the fact that "/Archive" would be a subpage of a page that wouldnt exist anymore. but i guess the page could just be moved then, in that case

Almost all users who haven't been active since the update have neither significant ranks nor likes, so they are irrelevant.
True, if the main page was deleted, the archive could be moved back to it instead of being under an /Archive tag, but that's hardly a pressing issue.
