If you're not gonna contribute to the vote, then please don't say anything here. This is a forum used specifically for the voting and discussion of the current topic. If you're gonna write a message specifically directed at Madkat that has absolutely nothing to do with the voting of an emote limit, do it at a message wall or chat please.

But so many people (I'd guesstimate around 30-50%) on this wiki have such a huge interest in MLP that it'd be rude not to let them have their emotes. I'm the only one here who has a large interest in Mario, so there's no Mario emotes in sight.

Give me one good reason why they shouldn't have their emotes here. They're used in relevant context (or at least in context as relelvant as the ones the current ones are used in), they're used, etc. Why should they have a limit? If we see more people have an interest in the emotes, then we'll add more! If nobody is using them, we'll subtract more! It makes no sense and it is so blunt to use a limit that it boggles my mind.

It's not malicious. It's "fun-spam", which we have already with our normal MB emotes, and is nothing of concern.

Keep it simple. Punish a user for attacking or bullying another user. Don't punish them for the particular words that they may or may not have used in their attack. Bullies will ALWAYS find a way to insult. Blocking a word like that will not help anyone.
So what you're saying is that we should censor "idiot" and "moron" as well, because they're never used in good context? Those were unblocked more than a year ago for a reason.
When used by a non-malicious user on this chat, those words are used to play along with one another (as miakittymoon would call it, "fun-spam"). There's nothing wrong with that. And as Goggs said, the malicious users abusing those words will always find a way around it, so it makes no sense to block it. It's like putting a wooden fence around a pizza to prevent hungry children from getting to it. It's not gonna stop them for one second.
No. Although retard isn't even a non-offensive word anymore, and it isn't dark enough to be grouped with such words that are in the yellowx category.
I think we should keep it because there may be people who like it... And don't forget you can turn it off in your preferences.
It doesn't matter if they like it, they can't even use it without spammy code and messed-up formatting spilling everywhere. It damages the wiki and leaves no good side that the classic editor doesn't also share, and that's all that really matters at this point.

Yes, the ones we have right now aren't very active and it makes discussing things very difficult, therefore making it harder to enforce things and maintain the wiki. For that reason we need some more active admins.

- He's a great and generally nice person that can handle a wiki (and a server :3) pretty well, although he's a little inactive editing-wise and can sometimes get biased in his decisions.
Reasons why some good people weren't mentioned here
- Alemas2005 has gotten really unstable and immature lately, and hasn't been as welcoming as I'd like. And he's kinda inactive editing-wise.
- Agent Spy has had enough time to show that he's ready for admin since his first appearance in 2012, and he's done a great job. But I think he should start with mod first.
- BusyCityGirl was one I was gonna add to my "definites", but she doesn't enforce anything much anymore.
