We already had perfectly good votes setting all this system in place. Let's not wreck it now. And what "obnoxious waiting times"? Come on, let's show a little patience and consideration for the less active users on this wiki, who don't have time to visit every day of the week.
(For those interested in learning more about utilizing Australia's glorious voting system :D)
Preferential system: Primary vote = D, Secondary vote = C.

I think I vote B, anyhow.
B for boobs, I mean for no unblock. If there's a serious conversation to be had about breasts, and that isn't a common occurence, breast can be used. Boobs is too playful of a word and is rarely used outside of a sexualized connotation.

9:07 - 9:35 ish? This the kind of potential place you're talking about using it...?
B:
I'd vote A, but most people don't seem to want that, which is alright.
And I totally empathise with the "it's potentially abusable and spammable" viewpoint. But in my opinion, it's much easier to moderate on something that's visibly out in the open than a sneaky, subtle little link posted in a quiet night-chat, which goes unnoticed except for a few unlucky link-clickers whose whole night it ruins.
If it really causes a big amount of trouble we can turn it off. We might all get sick of it after a while. Let's just try it.
Shame the devs didn't create a feature that let's mods kill a specific chat tag with a simple click
I feel like pointing out that it's a bit unrealistic to just assume that inappropriate usage of these words will result in action taken against the user, definitely, 100% of the time. Because unless the mods are robots, it really won't. That's why we have the chat filter. It reks the potential for inappropriate sentences, and visually alerts mods to potentially inappropriate word usages (which is great for the lazy mods who don't want to read through and check every word that's posted). And the people who want to use the words for good, genuine reasons, can generally work around the word filter if they need to.
That being said: 1. A, and 2. B
Voting B on the latter because I feel that in this particular circumstance, in this particular place, the chance it will be used wrongly is higher than the chance it will be used genuinely.
Yep I support this, and with Jdude's proposal.
As someone who is busy a bit of the time, I know how really annoying it can be for you guys to have to wait for me.
Question though. By "75% of admins", you mean active admins, or all admins? Because even in this thread, not all the admins have voted so far.
Oh goodness me, it took me two whole days to vote :o What is the world coming to!
No opposition from me. Sorry LSB, but you'll need to go through the RfR system.
Perhaps voters can at least take away a good glimpse of how LSB would be as a CM from these past few weeks that he's been one. Not to mention the maturity he's shown in doing the right thing here and openly pointing all this out.
You sound like a sheep
F: Six weeks.
I mean what exactly is going to change in 1 months time? lol...
That's just gonna be used by people who got peeved that their vote didn't pass and wont stop posting it every month until it does.
B, B, B.
Actually "leadership" is not just determined by rights or abilities alone. A lot of it is determined by public perception. That is where the true "power" of leadership lies (in a democratic system at least). Not in actual rights or abilities.
Since Crat is literally the final rung in a local wiki rights ladder, that entails a certain high public image whether you like it or not. People will refer to them as "the Bureaucrats", and people will go to them for the very largest issues that arise on their wiki. So yeah, that level of responsibility is undeniably a pretty big deal and should actually be taken seriously.
Wait hold on, what?
So the issue you are trying to raise is that if someone in our chat posts a link to an external wiki's chat, that chat can experience a sudden influx of users?
1. Does it matter? 2. Cross-linking to external wikias is common across all wikia sites. Everyone has to deal with it, including us. 3. How would getting "permission from a chatmod or admin" fix this issue? Literally all the cm or admin could say is either yes or no. If they say yes, it happens anyway. And what specific reason would they have to say no? "ew no I don't like that wikia"? "wait hold on and let me go check that chat to see if anyone's there who might be startled by a sudden crowd"?

If we don't use solid proof to determine if someone is a dupe and should be banned....then... what do we use?? A hunch? A slight suspicion? I can't see how this could be fair or feasible at all...
Hahaha! My vote looks like a weird face!!
....im tired
