Freaking genius. Let's make it happen.
How about instead of turning off chat, we ban all users instead.

Well some users brought this up in chat and thought it would be a good idea so I made a vote about it.
Wait, someone wanted this? Ha, Where the heck are they now?

Also A just so I can be that guy.
but no one likes that guy
I just couldn't resist
And it occurred to me that they'd also probably reconvene on some other wiki chat as well, so put that on the list of possibilities.
Izzybe5 wrote: So. You're saying that in order to do something else with your life you need chat shut down? Wow. Amaaaazing logic there. How weak do you think people are?
So nowhere in his posts did he say that.
My my, is someone projecting?
Ok, if this actually went through here's what would happen.
Chat would be down.....

People can act similar to each other, that's why you have to have solid proof that they're a dupe.

If you didn't trust them to make at least SOME good decisions, why the heck did you vote for them again?
While we're at it, someone make a vote to remove admins all together. You're clearly trying to make them completely obsolete.
Oh, and B in case this thing passes.
It's not that I don't trust admins to demote who needs it, but the big issue is it can take months for the admins to go through the whole process of demotion. Additionally I know for a fact some admins have been known to vote with personal biases. No this process wouldn't be perfect, not process concerning demotions or promotions will ever be perfect, but I feel it's necessary for the community.
*Points out that since Admins would be creating the vote that could probably take months as well*
With all the drama here, do you really think making this kind of thing public is going to help anyone in the long run? Seriously think about that Spidey.
The long run is exactly what I have in mind. In order to form a perfect democracy demotions should be chosen by the users here. I understand it's a touchy subject, but I find it necessary for this wiki. And all we need is one admin to make the vote, it won't take months it will only take a group of complaints to an admin. I understand and respect your opinion on this, but my opinion still stays the same.
Ok, I was just going to leave this at that, but this just continues to boggle my mind. Can you seriously say with a straight face that you expect public votes for demotions to be somehow less explosive then the current way of doing it?
I do not. You misunderstood. They certainly will cause some drama, but they are necessary for our community. I'd rather not give specifics here but I'll PM you on chat next time I can.
See, I just feel like this would be sucky trade off. Sure we get expedience, but we also get more in fighting. Not that the current system can't be improved or shouldn't be changed or anything, it's just this way seems like a bad idea.

Tone, no offense, but there's going to be drama no matter how this is settled.
Whoa, REALLY? Gosh you sure opened my eyes! I never thought of THAT.
Ok, but in all seriousness, I'm just saying that this way would create more drama.

Yes to everything except 1 and 2. I'm so sick of seeing the Pokemon messages, can we please get something else.
