The Current Poll Box was added with the 2012 update and is located on the right side of the LEGO Message Boards screen below the Announcement Box. The LEGO team uses the poll box to post polls pertaining to Legos, Lego.com, or even the message boards themselves.
When a new poll comes out, anyone with a LEGO ID can use the poll box to vote. The poll box also shows the poll's results and displays the top voted-for option. The poll shown here is from December, 2012.
