The Community Voting Policy applies to community votes and block/unblock petitions.
- Every user is required to have been on the Wiki for at least one month in order to vote.
- Users with no edits but have been on the Wiki for a month may be allowed by an admin to vote.
- Users who are under a 1 month or longer ban may not vote on any votes relating to chat.
- Votes of inactive users will not count; administrators and discussion moderators will use common sense to determine activity.
- A vote with at least 80 percent majority support or oppose after 48 hours may be closed. Otherwise a vote can be closed 2 days after the last vote was made, or when over 50% of the whole community (comprised of 45 users) supports or opposes the vote.
- Revotes on past votes can be created after a minimum of 92 days (3 months) after the original vote.
- Joke/troll votes are not allowed and will be deleted immediately.
- A vote that passes the democratic system may be overturned in the event of a unanimous administrator veto.
Blocks/Unblocks[]
A community vote cannot be used to ban, un-ban, block or un-block users, however, in the case of blocks a petition to the Admins can be made that a user be blocked/unblocked. In the case of a block petition there must be supporting evidence posted with the petition. In the case of an unblock petition there must be a statement written why the user should be unblocked with solid reasoning, evidence would be beneficial, but is not required. Using the same voting determination used on Community Votes, if the vote has the appropriate support the Admins must view the evidence and vote/re-vote on the block. However, their vote is not required to align with the Community Vote and the outcome may be the same as before or it may be different.
Demotions[]
A community vote cannot be used to directly demote rights from a user, however, a petition to the Admins can be made that a user be demoted. This petition must state which right(s) are being asked to be removed and a case must be made against the user with supporting evidence posted with the petition with solid reasoning. Using the same voting determination used on Community Votes, if the vote has the appropriate support all active Admins must view the evidence, talk with the user in question and vote on whether or not to demote the user. However, their vote is not required to align with the Community Vote and the outcome may not be to demote said user.
