  9. The people who support, as of right now, do not have any reasons. I don't see any use for this "French Flag" emote. Rapmilo (talk)Rapmilo

  • Yada, time to learn some French history:
"During the period of the Ancien Régime, starting in the early 17th century, the royal standard of France became a plain white flag as a symbol of purity [...]
The white color was also used as a symbol of military command, by the commanding officer of a French army. It would be featured on a white scarf attached to the regimental flag as to recognise French units from foreign ones and avoid friendly fire incidents. The French troops fighting in the American War of Independence fought under the white flag.
The French Navy used a plain white ensign for ships of the line. [...]
During the Bourbon Restoration, the white flag replaced the Tricolor, by then seen as a symbol of regicide."

So there's that. 23:16, December 12, 2016 (UTC)

  • you would think that he would actually know about the military history of his country if he got so defensive Avatar2260 1 Dubba Booey (talk) 23:19, December 12, 2016 (UTC)
    • I think we all know the actual reason why this vote was made and why the flag chosen was a white flag. If you want to be consistent and proper, as you clearly do, demonstrated by the first comment, rename the vote to "old French flag" or something of that nature. ~Tuff Turf
  • sorry dude but i'm going to have to report you for being underaged Avatar2260 1 Dubba Booey (talk) 22:33, December 13, 2016 (UTC)
You said "I'm 5". The rules say you have to speak in English, so you'd better learn English, hon hon hon crouton baguette. Sunglasses Avatar2260 1 Dubba Booey (talk) 02:46, December 16, 2016 (UTC)
