White Flag

Usage: (surrender) (white) (whiteflag)

The white flag has had a long history of use to surrender, dating back to the Han Dynasty in China (1st-3rd century AD), and first mentioned in Europe for surrender in AD 109. Even when not displayed as a flag, units exempt from battle or attempting to surrender would wear white or carry white batons. The Confederate States of America and the Christian Flag were both a white field with a canton displaying a symbol. In Buddhism and during the Umayyad Arab Caliphate, white was a color of mourning rather than black. The Taliban once used a pure white flag to display the purity of their faith. In Japan, the Minamoto Clan flew the white flag, and this continued to the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate in 1868. In NASCAR, the white flag symbolizes the final lap.

The white flag has many meanings, and it can convey anything, primarily when one concedes an argument. I can already see people waving this emote when they think someone is losing a debate, or AmazingPythor saying "You win, Alemas. (white)" Please support this flag.
