Patrollers are users with additional tools that allow them to carry out certain maintenance tasks.
These tools include the ability to:
- Revert bad faith edits, such as vandalism or spam with a single click
- Mark good edits as patrolled (edits not patrolled will display a red exclamation mark in Special:RecentChanges)
- Move files
- And more...
Patrollers monitor Recent Changes, and are experienced editors with knowledge of how to make a good edit. If you have any questions about an article, want to report vandalism, or even have a suggestion, you can leave a message on a patroller's or administrator's talk page. Patrollers' main purpose is to relieve the admins of much responsibility, without getting the unneeded abilities. Patrollers are not in charge; have no more say in what happens to the wiki than any other user without any user rights.
