LockedThe Old LMB Farewell Costume Party was a Mod Party to celebrate the updating of the 2012 LEGO Message Boards and to wish goodbye to the old 2005-2012 LEGO Message Boards. The topic was made by WhiteAlligator and had a rating of 5 bricks. It was locked many hours later. The five users with the most posts were 8ObiWan88 with 1,200 posts; Marcel77799, with 657; Klintrin, with 634; Ehlek333, with 589; and EthanWS with 373.
Users had to present themselves in a "costume" that could represent a rank on the new LEGO Message Boards, and stay "in character." However, many users did not do this. Costumes included Assassins, Galaxy Patrol Troopers, Cowboys, Daredevils, Sleepyheads, Thespians, Samurai X, and even Sam Sinister. At the end of the party, WhiteAlligator revealed a new rank: Samurai Warrior.
Many users participated in this farewell topic, and it gained over 200 pages; it was probably the fastest growing topic ever. Unfortunately, a glitch caused some of the Moderator posts on the topic to be permanently displayed on the front page, making it very confusing for many users. According to Alemas, the glitch is because the mods' posts are instantly approved and therefore show up on the front page because they were approved first.
