The Quote button is a feature in the form of a button that allows you and readers to view the text of the post you are replying to. To activate this feature, you must click reply to a post. Once you are in the "new post" screen, it is visible, located above the text box, next to the spell check button.

Quoting a message that already displays another quote will form a small "Quote Chain." The more the messages are quoted, the larger the quote chain grows. If it grows too large for the character limit, some users will delete the text of the first few when in the editing stage, making only the last few quotes visible.
