It's been a while since I've written a shallow, pointless, altogether unnecessary blog that multiple users will shake their heads at. So I decided to write one about my newest celebrity obsession: Daisy Ridley.
Look at her. Doesn't she look nice? To me, she looks like the kind of person you'd bump into, working at a bar in London or something, say something off-hand about yodeling (which is your passion) and end up discussing yodeling for hours on end.
Thankfully, yodeling is not her passion. Presumably, acting is, seeing as she's the star of a little indie film released this year... Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
I don't want to spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it, but suffice to say she's amazing. A British accent, to boot! Here's another picture of her so you can imagine this attractive Star Wars leading lady speaking in a delightful British accent, delivering imaginative dialogue about the Millenium Falcon. Basically, a nerd's dream.
I've heard people say that the previous heroines of the past two Star Wars trilogies-- portrayed by Natalie Portman and Carrie Fisher, for those uninformed persons--were "hotter" and/or more attractive. Those people are wrong.
I was going to insert pictures of Portman and Fisher here, but honestly, if you don't remember them or can't be bothered to Google them, you probably don't care for Daisy Ridley either. Also, it might be a little creepy to have a blog dedicated to female Star Wars actors. (Some of the brighter among you might say that it's creepy to have a blog dedicated to one female Star Wars actor, but that's stupid. And in fact it's not dedicated entirely to her. Here's a picture of Oscar Isaac, who portrays the second-coolest character in the movie:)
Now that that's out of the way... back to Daisy.
If you haven't figured it out by now, she's pretty cool. British, very talented actor, pretty hot, etc etc. I urge you all to go see Star Wars.
And now it's time to bring you all to the ultimate conclusion of this blog. The point, if you will. The truth is, there isn't one. I just wanted an excuse to show you all of these pictures of Daisy Ridley and explain why she's just the best.
